Our Very First Look at Amber Heard Playing as Mera (Aquaman Movie)

Just yesterday, James Wan, director of the upcoming Aquaman movie, recently took to his social media account (@creepypuppet) and uploaded a picture of Amber Heard as Mera. Mera is the wife of Arthur Curry (Aquaman) and in the DC Extended Universe, she is a warrior and sorceress.

This has got to be one of the best costume design ever because it practically straight up from the comic book. (Images down below)

It looks like, she will be wearing this costume/suit when she's on land and not fighting monsters. Whereas in the upcoming Justice League movie, she is wearing her battle armour, I think, to fight against the parademons that will invade Atlantis.

You can really tell that the team went into great detail to make it exactly like the comic book. The scales on the body are really noticeable and the green/gold is super vibrant. She also uploaded another photo:

To be honest, I am so hyped for this movie. It's sucks that I/we have to wait until December to watch this EPIC movie. I guarantee that this will be a movie that you don't want to miss out on. James Wan is one of my favourite director of all time and with Geoff Johns and James Wan, both writing the story for the movie and Peter Safran producing it, (previously worked with Wan on The Conjuring series) you can instantly tell, if you are fan of either/both of them, that this movie is going to nail it because we've never had a superhero movie take place underwater. Not to mention, if you have been keeping up-to-date on who will be in the movie (cast), it is a fantastic cast.

I really hope during San Diego Comic-Con, DC/WB update their film line-up for the other DCEU movies because we only have one in 2018.

So, Amber Heard as Mera, what do you think of her suit? Comment below, spread this article around and remember to follow me on Twitter (@dmyxxxx) and I'll see you next time.
