IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I'VE DONE A MOVIE REVIEW. HERE GOES NOTHING.

Boy, oh boy, this movie was gooood.

Hardcore Henry is a movie that is entirely shot from a first-person perspective. So right from the beginning of the movie till the end of the movie you are looking through Henry's eyes.

Long story short, Henry wakes up from a table with no memory of the events that happended to him previously and he is being reconstructed (arm and leg) by his girlfriend (Haley Bennett) and he has to go on a quest to rescue his girlfriend from Akan (Danila Kozlovsky). I wasn't planning on seeing the movie but, I got invited to watch it with my friends and it was a unique experience. It's not very often that you see these types of movies. The movie doesn't have a lot of characters, it's just a straightforward movie. Defeat the bad guy/leader and rescue the girl.

Haley Bennett looking amazing as always
Sharlto Copley was really funny and great in the movie. I'm not going to spoil why he's so great but, just know that you will like his character a lot more than any of the other characters, except for Haley Bennett because she's so hot. But Henry has no character whatsoever, I think the creators wanted us to feel like we are Henry and we are the one doing all the cool stuff in the movie.

Sharlto Copley as Jimmy

Be warned this movie has a lot of shaky camera scenes and it's rated 18. A couple of people left the movie, I think they hated how violent it was or the fact that people were getting sick, I didn't get sick for some reason. My favourite action scenes has got to be the chase scene, I would say 30 minutes or so into the movie and the second to last action scene, where Henry and Jimmy are just wasting every bad guy throughout the entire building. Parts of them are being blown away and so much destruction. I felt I was in a video game and I have to give it props. But, the villian was a little bit weird and cartoony for me and they don't explain how he acquired his"gift" I should say. It's just never brought up, so I just went along with it.

In the end, Hardcore Henry was a good film but, very simple movie. I'm glad I had the chance to see it. It has a ton and I mean a ton of action and very little characters to not care about but, light humor. If you enjoy video games, mainly first-person shooter games and action movies in general, I think you are going to like this film.

I'm going to give this movie 3 stars out of 5.

So Hardcore Henry did you like the movie or did you think it was just bad in general. Let me know in the comments below or on Twitter, remember to share this post and I'll see you guys later.
