(Clap, Clap, Clap) TOM HOLLAND IS THE PERFECT SPIDERMAN, THAT'S ALL I'M GOING TO SAY.

Yesterday, I had the best time of my life watching this movie. It was more than just a movie for me, it was an experience and I CANNOT WAIT to see what happens in the other Marvel movies and especially Infinity War. It's going to be tough to write this review with no spoilers because the rest of the world (mainly the USA) haven't seen this yet, so here goes nothing.

Captain America: Civil War is the sequel to the Winter Solider and Age of Ultron and it kicks starts the Phase Three Saga off with a bang and I mean a bang. If you have read the Civil War comic book then you know what you are in for, if not here's the general story.

After, all the events that have happened since the beginning of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (the growing superhuman population), the government have issued a policy called, the Sokovia Accords for the Avengers. This will establish all the Avengers to be monitored by the government and whenever an event that can't be handled by the police, the government will call for them. And this splits a divide amongst the group, on one side Team Cap, who's against the act and for personal reasons and Team Iron Man who supports it.

Team Iron Man

Team Cap

You knew these two would go toe to toe against each other because of their ideologies and their constant arguing since Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron. You have to keep in mind for this movie, half of the movie is a sequel to The Winter Solider (Cap's story arc) and other is a sequel to Avengers: Age of Ultron. The amount of heroes that were on the screen was a lot but, what the Russo brothers did so well is that everybody had a good amount of screen time, it didn't feel crowded and overstuff. Especially Black Panther, we had a good character development from him and a good amount of screen time, you get to see his personal reasons for joining Iron Man and I really liked him and I can't wait for his movie.

I was Team Cap as soon as I heard they were going to do this movie but, as the movie went on I was Team Iron Man and then I became conflicted. Goddamn, you Marvel. To be honest, I generally understand why Stark is for this act, he generally feels responsible for what happened in Sokovia (creating Ultron). In a conflict, you want to see and sometimes agree and disagree, two sides of the argument. It just makes it much more interesting and most important things that will happen in the MCU because when this guy shows up, really bad stuff is going to happen, really bad stuff. And if you don't flip flop at all in which team you are in this movie, then you are being so stubborn.

The government better call the Avengers (ASAP) as soon as he sets foot on Earth.

The action in this movie was unbelievable. It was as if, I'm watching the best superhero royal rumble match of the century. If you've watched the trailers and see them about to butt heads with one another, that is just 10% of the throwdown. All of the superpowers going on the screen is there, FOR YOU to enjoy and there was a lot of humour in the movie. I kept on laughing during the fight and outside of the fight. It was just amazing, and if you are thinking to yourself that Spiderman was just in the movie for a cameo / fan-service then you are wrong. We had a good amount of time to see how Marvel is taking care of this character and now I can understand why they titled his upcoming movie Spiderman: Homecoming, he really is coming home to the Marvel universe.

Best Spiderman ever (Tom Holland was great)

My only gripe with the movie, and that's only one mind you everything else was excellent, was the villain and I don't think he has the right to be called a villain in my books lol. I didn't know who he was but, you get to find out his motives. But really, the real villain / hero and vice-versa were the side you favored for, Team Cap and Team Iron Man. To be honest, if Marvel had cut him out of the film the characters would have reached that end point on their own (through different paths and means). It would only cost one action scene to be removed.

In the end, the Russo brothers outdid themselves in this movie, everybody had an equal amount of screen time, the action and comedy elements was spot on and if you are a fan of the Civil War comic book and wanted to see how it would portray into a live adaption. I'm pretty confident you will walk away talking about this movie for a couple of days. I just hope that the DC Cinematic Universe will be great because I'm a bit worried that Zack Snyder will have trouble cramming so much content in Justice League. I mean look at what happened in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, critics and people who are fans of Batman and Superman were divided. I thought Batman v Superman was good but, if it just flashing at us with a lot of action, and I like the action in Dawn of Justice, but not really giving us a good story then I'm going to be bored.

But I'm not getting bored of the superhero films, they can just keep on rolling. Captain America Civil War was perfect in my opinion.

Pros: Fantastic adaption of the comic book
          Spiderman was just spot on
          Great humor / story

Cons: Semi-forgettable villain
