A Tribe Called Quest - Phife Dawg Died at 45

It is a sad day in the hip hop industry as one of the most talented rappers that I've ever seen has passed away due to diabetes. Malik Issac Taylor or better known to most people as Phife Dawg from A Tribe Called Quest was one of the main rappers of the group and together with Q-Tip, Ali Shaheed Muhammed and Jarobi White.

His family said in a statement that 'Malik was our loving husband, father, brother and friend. We love him dearly. How he impacted all our lives will never be forgotten. His love for music and sports was only surpassed by his love of God and family.'

They have released five albums which have received critical acclaim by the industry and I happened to think that their first three albums are considered the best and they are People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of RhythmThe Low End Theory and my personal favourite Midnight Marauders.

My heart goes out to all of their family and friends who have stuck by him throughout his whole life,

Rest in Peace, Phife Dawg
