QUEUE THE EPIC OPENING MUSIC PLEASE!!!!!

I told you guys that I will post my review, be it a month-ish late. But, let's get started, shall we. I just finished watching the Stranger Things and I gotta say, this was one of the best shows that I've watched on Netflix in a VERY long time. Stranger Things is a supernatural, horror-sci-fi created by the Duffer Bros and it revolves around a group of kids finding their lost friends who mysteriously disappears one night and on that same night, they meet a telekinetic girl who goes by the name Eleven.

This shows is really hard to go into detail because what makes this show so interesting is it's mystery element and to go into spoilers, would result in you hating me. Who is this girl who suddenly appeared before Mike, Dustin and Lucas? What is this strange entity that keeps appearing? What are Hawkins Labs up too? After each and every episode, it will leave you wanting more. I watched every 2 or 3 episodes a night and I still have a ton of questions.

The font of the title pays homage to 1980s films

Let me say this guys, this girl, Eleven played by Millie Bobby Brown, stole the show for me. She was by far my favourite character and throughout most of the episodes, you get to see her backstory and how she is using her powers for Hawkins Laboratory. The three kids, Mike, Dustin and Lucas also did a great, my brother didn't like Lucas a whole lot. You get to see how he acts around Eleven the moment they meet. For me, I understand why he is saying those things to her but, dial it back a bit man, she's just a girl who doesn't speak a lot lol.

Every one of those kids is amazing. Eleven steals the show for me.

I would say that 55% of the show centres around the kids and their search in finding their friend and 45% is focused on the adults/teenagers, Hopper, Joyce, Nancy and Jonathan in their own search of finding Will. And Joyce played by Winona Ryder was so great, everyone around her thinks that she is paranoid in the fact that her son is still out there. But, as a viewer, you can't help but wish that somebody would believe her.

A mother who just wants to find her son.
Not to mention, the soundtrack is so awesome, it pays homage to 1980s films that also had a similar music to it. You can really tell that the Duffer Bros were heavily influenced by Steven Spielberg, John Carpenter, Stephen King and George Lucas's work and they implemented that into Stranger Things to make you feel as if you are in the 1980s.

In the end, Duffer Brothers did a really good job in creating this show. I didn't plan on watching this nor did I even see the ads they showed on YouTube. I kept on skipping it because I thought it was another bad show on Netflix, boy was I mistaken and glad that I skipped it because I've might have spoiled myself on the mystery, sci-fi and horror elements. I wouldn't say that the show is horror but, you can judge for yourself. My only gripe with the show is that it ENDS...lol and I want more.

The characters, the pacing of the show, acting, soundtrack and its 1980s nostalgia feel to it was done perfectly. I have a funny feeling that we are going to see these kids in more shows. And it's already getting a second season, so you know I'm going to see/review on time. Hopefully, it will come out during the summer.
Already getting season after one to two months, GODDAMN!!!
So Stranger Things, have you seen it, what did you think about it? What were your favourite episode and character? Comment below and let me know on here and on Twitter (@dmyxxxx) and remember to share this post with your friends and I'll see ya later. PEACE.

P.S. Make sure to watch this with your friends. It's a much better experience.
